Recycling Coordinators, Inc. specializes in comprehensive recycling solutions to battery manufacturers, collection companies and sortation facilities. We develop custom recycling programs to meet the individual needs and volumes of our suppliers. We are an end of life battery processing and destruction facility. Our process allows us to wholly consume a variety of Lithium Ion and Nickel Metal Hydride batteries to help preserve our environment for future generations.

Our new proprietary technology allows us to process the cells into a safe material for metal recovery. Recycling Coordinators Inc. can also provide Certificates of Destruction for each shipment of batteries received. Recycling Coordinators, Inc. is in full compliance with all federal, state and local government regulations for the processing of lithium ion cells.

Because we are a full service metal recycling facility, we are uniquely setup to process a wide variety of by-products from the production of cells and batteries.

Materials we can process and recycle:

  • Production battery scrap

  • Failed test or off-spec cells

  • Dry Cells

  • Punch outs from pouch cell production

  • Unused or scrap powders

  • Sludge from cathode foil line

  • Aluminum foils with or without coating

  • Copper foils with or without coating

  • Miscellaneous parts and attachments of the cell

  • End of life/returned customer batteries

  • Processing end of life used consumer, EV, hybrid, industrial and military batteries

  • We can accept lithium ion cells that are cylindrical, prismatic or pouch type

  • Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) is also an acceptable chemistry

  • LTL to full truckload quantities are acceptable

Chemistries that we do not accept:
Lead Acid (Pb), Nickel Cadmium (NiCd), Primary Lithium, Alkaline/Zinc, and any that contain Mercury.
